Christening Quaich

A quaich made specifically for christenings — the cup of friendship given at the start of a life rather than at the end of an association. It is a gift that gets put away rather than used, brought out at eighteenths and weddings, and handed on. English pewter from our Sheffield workshop, with the bowl kept clear for the child's name and the date.
